So I Haven’t Posted In a While :-P

January 29, 2003 at 9:47 pm (Academic, Journal Entries)

For the avid reader (…if there is one…sounds of crickets chirping…). What’s been going on in my life? Hmmm, from that last entry, I ran 4.5 or so miles at one go last week, so I blew that 3.0 away ;-) , haven’t run much since then though, been really busy. Got absolutely SLAMMED with work today; got a HUGE bio test and a calc2 quiz on Friday, a German test on Monday, and a chem test and quiz (yes, that’s right, test and quiz) on Tuesday. Yeah… at one of those points where I have sooo much to do and I don’t know where to start…so I just don’t start ;-) . By the way… now accepting donations in the form of prayers :-) . Alrighty, I’m out…maybe to do some work, hmmm… Peace.

3.0, I Think :-)

January 8, 2003 at 9:45 pm (Exercise, Journal Entries)

Ran 3 miles today and I feeeeel GREEAAT!…unfortunately it’s almost my bedtime :-( and I’m wide awake (that’s right kiddies, Nate’s off to bed at 10pm ;-) . Anyways, as I said, I feel great now…though my feet feel kinda weird…hmmmm :-) . Had a delicious apple just now which I shared with Rat Girl (otherwise known as the hamster Charlotte Bronte…IM me if you want to ask about that ;-) . And I also had half a pizza for lunch which I DEFINITELY felt while I was out running…:-), but I did it, all 3 miles :-) . It’s really weird too, I haven’t run in months and I head out on Monday and run 2.25 or so miles and then head out today and hit up 3 feeling great afterwards :-) . Oh well, praise God! :-) . Hmmm, thoughts of the moment… I really want to concentrate on school this semester and just have a lovely time…I feel like something wonderful is gonna happen :-) . Believe in the wonderful :-) !…(then again, according to the apostle Paul, everything works for the wonderful, so everything is wonderful in a way anyway…all the better, yeeeaaah the WONDERFUL! ;-) . Peace :-) .

Philosophical Mood Tonight ;-)

January 7, 2003 at 3:00 pm (Christian Walk, Journal Entries, Musings)

No study break really, just killing time before an RA meeting. Okay, now the “philosophy,” otherwise known as “babble?” Beauty: anything can be beautiful, the most disturbing thing could contain beauty, it’s all in the eyes of the beholder ;-) . Not too philosophical I guess…where did that come from? I don’t know, I guess I was just in one of those contemplative moods today. The “wisest man ever” supposedly concluded that not thinking and being content with the now was the best thing… oh well :-) . There’s so many questions in life, so many… and the answers…? Well, it gives one something to think about in a day and age when “doing our work” as the “wisest man” put it doesn’t consume all our time :-) . Peace.

12 Pages of Biology and My Brain Is Fried

January 6, 2003 at 9:43 pm (Academic, Journal Entries)

= study break = web journal :-) . First day of classes today, nothing too exciting, I posted my schedules up on the index page (though they are quite unrefined as of now). My academic day started off with Calc2 early this morning (8:30am) and it ended with German 3 before noon (11:35am…just go look at the schedule :-P ). Nothing too much to report with classes, just looks like I’ll have a lot of studying to do this semester, which may mean less hanging out with friends :-( . Ah, sacrifices. However, the relative difficultly of this semester greatly excites me, I always love a challenge ;-) . Alrighty, enough for the moment, my brain is beginning to regenerate the eukaryotic cells it lost from reading biology :-) , peace.

Plethora of Smileys

January 4, 2003 at 9:42 pm (Christian Walk, Journal Entries)

Wow, there appears to be an abundance of smiley’s on this page already…hmmm…oh well :-) , so what if I like em? What’s new? Taking a study break right now, this works quite well as something to do during those… :-) . Heard some excellent advice the other day, one of those tid-bits of advice that you “know” but that you still need someone to remind you of; my former Bible study teacher, Andy, said I should try harder to enjoy the moment: Christian hedonism :-) , who’d have thunk it? It’s true though, no matter what, it’d be great to look back in the future and say, “Wasn’t that great?” the cups either half empty or half full ;-) . Anyways, back to studying :-) Ya’ll come back now, ya hear?
