Yeah!!! Cool New Home Page!

March 30, 2003 at 10:15 pm (Journal Entries, Webpage)

I’m proud of my new index page which talks about humility…oh well :-P . I figured I might as well do a journal post as long as I was working on the page :-) . We had a sign up time at GCL today for committees and I practically signed up for every one…oh well :-) . Lot of smileys today ;-) . Nothing too new on the girl front, haven’t had much of a chance to talk to her since Friday, enough to know she did well on her test though :-) , but I covered that one in yesterday’s post ;-) . I don’t know how much I’m gonna post on that, I guess I’ll have to talk to her about and just kinda feel it out as I go along ;-) . Short post tonight, just wanted to share my joy at the new index page! :-) Peace.

Comment Page and Other News

March 29, 2003 at 10:14 pm (Journal Entries, Webpage)

As some of you may have noticed, despite the rest of my page’s new design, the comment page remains in the old format. I was just curious if anyone, who would be so wise in the ways of science that they would know how to program a comment page, could help me out with forging a new comment section, perhaps even similar to Jordan’s or Dave’s :-) (and banishing all those horrid adds that plague my current page :-) . Any help would be much appreciated :-) .

Things to be Said

March 28, 2003 at 10:13 pm (Journal Entries)

As per Jordan’s archived post…kind of…

I suppose this post could have been labled multiple things: I could have mentioned how I redesigned the website; I could have called it “A long expected post;” or I could have labled it “Beautiful Day.” I believe any of these titles would have worked. Well, to begin with, I have obviously redesigned the website. I was recieving complaints about blue on black colors, and I thought white would look better anyways as a backround color, so I went and re-did it. I’m glad I did, I learned a few things, and messed around some with alignment. Oh, speaking of alignment, all new entries will have this indented format in order to seperate the date/title from the actual text. That way there is an obvious difference between “body text” and the date, so you guys can scroll entries more easily.

Brutality

March 19, 2003 at 10:10 pm (Academic, Journal Entries)

In the beginning there was the nut, and the nut became a teacher and dwelt among UF students taking remedial chemistry. And this nut tortured her chemistry students, over whom she thought herself a god; and this nut appointed equally “godlike” TAs to assist in the teaching of this class, TAs whom eye students during tests to elicit any nervous feelings the student may have, especially after the commandment decreed beforehand by the god named “Teach” that all students who cheat shall be condemned to eternity in the hell known as “Wal-Mart employment.”

Spring Break

March 11, 2003 at 10:09 pm (Journal Entries, Webpage)

It’s amazing as somehow nothing particularly exciting has occurred over the break, yet I still feel as though it’s been a good vacation. To begin with, my sister decided to get a kitten this past weekend and bring it home without my parents permission. Upon some deliberation, my mom decided to work the situation to her advantage by making my brother sign a contract in order to keep the cat. Things included in the contract are keeping his room clean, exercising almost daily, and basically being my mom’s slave. I was my mom’s slave, where’s my cat? :-P I finally got to drive the Maxima again! Hip hip, hurrah! Hip, hip, hurrah! And my mom gave me some money to get it cleaned out quite nicely :-) . On Monday Jon, Greg, and I went to the beach. It’s amazing, we don’t do that much together, but whenever we’re together we all have so much fun. The beach was kinda a bust as it was foggy (weird, huh?) so we spent most of the day driving around and wound up at this awesome nature preserve by DeLeon Springs. Today I got to spend a lot of time with Ringo (my brother’s and sister’s agreed upon name for the cat) as my mom requested I take it to the vet and I gladly obliged. I suppose my spring break transitions into a vacation for my mom as well, which is fine with me :-) , I’m glad to be of service, especially when it involves things I sorely miss like cooking Salmon or driving around in my car :-) . The rest of the week isn’t looking like anything much, but that really doesn’t bother me, it’s a vacation, and all I want to do is relax, and that’s what I’ve been doing and that’s what it looks like I will be doing :-) . Hopefully, I’ll get to spend some time researching html and JavaSCRIPT and find some goodies for my webpage. I’d also like to organize some files on my comp (like music and photo files) and clean up some of my old school stuff at home. Alrighty, I’m out. Peace.

“I Feel Happy…”

March 6, 2003 at 10:09 pm (Journal Entries)

“Oh be quiet, you’ll be dead by Thursday,”

…to steal a Monty Python quote ;-) . Wow, I did the funky date thing again because as I was typing in the date, I realized we had another strange occurrence; 3, 3+3 (day plus year), 3. Come to think of it, I suppose almost every date this month will be a funky occurrence though…or maybe that’s just me :-P . Anyways, spring break is just around the corner and I feel generally soooo happy, I think life is just going great for me right now :-) . As far as reasons why it is, I guess things just finally seem to be working for me for once; school’s great, I’m talking to an old friend again who I haven’t spoken to in a while, a prospective great spring break is just around the corner, my future housing situation is looking awesome…everything’s just looking Jim Dandy. OH! And my father said that if I got a job, I could have my car again! How awesome is that? Things are great here :-) , what about with you? Peace.

One More Thing

March 3, 2003 at 10:08 pm (Journal Entries, Webpage)

…which I forgot, I ran into Jordan’s old website the other day (drag his logos around, it’s fun ;-) , and though it still kicks the diapers off my website, it gives me hope by showing that he was once a website padawan as well :-) . Peace.

Weird, Huh?

March 3, 2003 at 10:07 pm (Academic, Journal Entries)

Just a few moments ago I noticed the strange coincidence of today’s date, 03/03/03, all threes and zeros. Just had a pretty crazy weekend, got 2-3 hours of sleep on “Friday night” (realistically it would be Saturday morning) and then made up for that Saturday night by going to bed at 6pm or so and getting around 12 hours of sleep. Last night/this morning was nothing too strange, went to bed at about midnight and got up this morning at 9:30, which is sleeping in, for me. On the house situation, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna try and live off campus in the GCL house next year and I hope it will happen, still have to get the fall lease and sign it (I already have the summer lease but I have yet to sign it). School wise I got a crazy bio lab practical this evening that I am not the least bit worried about, haven’t really studied for it, but I’m just not worried about it. Perhaps my mind has already transcended to spring break, only a few days away now :-) . Alrighty, I’m out, peace.
