“Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the Earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.”

Song of Solomon 2:10-13 KJV

May 16, 2005 at 7:26 pm (Academic, Journal Entries, Musings)

May 16, 2005 at 4:47 pm (Christian Walk, Journal Entries, Music)

Wait… Those people on the screen, who are they?
Are they the same people that were going to nuke us 15 years ago?
I thought they were our enemies, what are they doing on our overhead screen in church?
Why is our worship leader there with them?
Are they praising the same Jesus we are?

Summer Goals

May 12, 2005 at 3:55 pm (Announcements, Journal Entries)

This past week I decided to stay in Gainesville for the summer, which means that I will be living in my apartment alone. It also means that I will be living without many of my friends; some have graduated, some have married, some are gone for the summer, and some work hours that don’t cooperate with my schedule.
