Weblog Migration

June 10, 2007 at 10:00 pm (Announcements, Journal Entries, Webpage)

I’m in the middle of a migration from MovableType to WordPress (or maybe Blogspot as I’m not a programmer). Of course, this has been over a two year process, so halfway through may mean very little….

Out of Order

July 27, 2005 at 11:30 am (Announcements, Journal Entries, Webpage)

I wanted to make a quick post to say that my mind is out of order today. Maintenance will hopefully be working on it tonight, and tomorrow it should be operational again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

150

July 17, 2005 at 6:28 pm (Announcements, Journal Entries, Webpage)

This is my 150th post, which is kind of sad considering that my 111th post came over a year ago. The reason that the number 150 is a big deal for me is not because I’ve reached some magical number, or because of the abundance of posts (David’s Blog has 374 posts and it’s almost a seven months younger than mine), but because I’ve posted 18 entries in the past 3 months (whoa… okay, so I know that doesn’t seem like a lot). Although, it’s not a lot of posts, it’s reassuring for me to know that I’ve resumed a somewhat consistent pattern of posting, if you would have asked me about this blog last spring, I would have said that it was dead. Well, it’s not dead… at least, not dead yet.

“I’m not dead yet…”

For the Bots

July 8, 2005 at 11:42 am (Announcements, Webpage)

I haven’t posted in a few weeks because I’ve been working on a new site with two of my friends. While the new site has begun, I still intend to keep this one going (hopefully even more so than in the past). Since it seems from the usage stats that the only people that visit this site are bots, then this is for the bots:

Summer Goals

May 12, 2005 at 3:55 pm (Announcements, Journal Entries)

This past week I decided to stay in Gainesville for the summer, which means that I will be living in my apartment alone. It also means that I will be living without many of my friends; some have graduated, some have married, some are gone for the summer, and some work hours that don’t cooperate with my schedule.

Dell Delay

April 23, 2005 at 4:42 pm (Announcements, Journal Entries)

This is kind of a weird post for my page, I’m actually trying to attract hits from Google. Recently, I ordered a Canon SD400 from Dell, and they have delayed my order by two months claiming it’s because the camera is on “back order.” I have no idea how long it takes Dell to get a shipment from Canon, but this is ridiculous. I think Dell is screwing me. By posting this, I’m hoping other people who have had equally ridiculous Dell delays will search for it on Google, find my page, and then post about their grief and how/if they had any success with Dell concerning their order delay.

Free Mojtaba and Arash Day

February 22, 2005 at 9:44 am (Announcements, Webpage)

It’s the Committee to Protect Bloggers’ Free Mojtaba and Arash Day. Mojtaba and Arash are two bloggers who are imprisoned in Iran for exercising free speech. I read this news article and figured it was my civic duty to post a link on my blog.

Comments are Back

February 15, 2005 at 10:39 am (Announcements, Webpage)

Okay, I’ve evaded spam comments for a few months now by disabling the comment function, but I have missed real comments too. I’ve gone ahead and re-enabled comments, so for at least the next few days comments are back!

Encouragement

November 27, 2004 at 11:01 pm (Announcements, Christian Walk, Journal Entries)

My comment as found on http://www.ajandkellie.com/ under Kellie’s “Thanksgiving” entry.

Kellie, my name is Nate and I’m a friend of Jordan Wiens (www.wantingseed.com). I have only started reading your webpage recently, but I find it an amazing encouragement in my personal walk with God. It’s so incredible to read how awesome God is, being there for His children especially in their deepest anguish. Every time I read your blog it does wonders for my day, it gives me such a perspective on the many blessings God has bestowed upon me. It’s also incredible for me to see your amazing writing ability even amidst such pain. From the comments I have been reading, it appears that other readers receive the same encouragement from your blog. I just wanted to write to let you know how much of a positive impact your webpage is having on your readers. I’m going to post a link on my webpage (www.themeyerwire.com) so that others may see this amazing example of God at work in your life, and pray for you and Eli. God bless.

Comments Are Outta’ Here!

September 29, 2004 at 1:47 pm (Announcements, Webpage)

Comments are gone. Comments are completely gone. This past weekend, over the course of about 4 days I received too many spam comments to make me feel like having them enabled is worth it. I’m tired of seeing “Cialis” this or “nude teens” that, it’s over, no more comments. Last time I did this I later re-enabled comments; that’s not going to happen this time, at least not for a very long time. If you want to post a comment on my webpage, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll try to put it up. If you want to view the comments that are already on a post, click on the timestamp in the bottom left hand corner of the post.

Comments are outta here!
